As a Director of Third-Party Enablement and Vendor Management, you will collaborate and contribute to our modernization journey, business transformation efforts, and in building, leveraging, and supporting solutions for our customers and business partners. Championing change management and process improvement while sponsoring and leading the programs that allow the organization to deliver on critical objectives in tight timeframes.
The primary objective of the third-party enablement team is to deliver technology and service capabilities to the market in partnership with identified third party benefit technology providers. Your team will be responsible for operationalizing the integrations and processes established with third party partners.
Mutual of Omahas Workplace Solutions Division is currently seeking a Director of Third-Party Enablement and Vendor Management. This position will be specifically responsible for directing and overseeing the following activities:
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Responsible for delivering on the prioritized business strategy, providing direction and delivery capabilities with multiple benefit technology vendors. Responsible for vendor relationships as it relates to technology and operations. Develops and delivers business processes, communications, and learning for business teams in partnership with internal resources.
Develops, implements and executes partnership strategy to achieve division objectives.
Builds, manages, grows and executes strategic relationships with key national and regional organizations for purposes of helping to achieve division sales, growth and profitability metrics.
Strategizes, determine goals and spearheads initiatives related to execution of partner relationships in order to maximize growth at local, regional and national levels.
Works collaboratively with key internal and external personnel to implement and support key strategies related to execution of overall and individual partnerships.
Directs, organizes, staffs, leads and controls activities including: Planning projects and capital and human resource budgets; interviewing, selecting and training of managers and/or other direct reports; monitoring and appraising performance of direct reports to hold them accountable for end results, including human resource management; coaching and motivating direct reports; administering disciplinary action as needed; administering compensation to direct reports; ensuring that Workplace Solutions Division complies with affirmative action guidelines.
Directs the support for a variety of large-scale initiatives within Workplace Solutions, to include project support for high profile and complex customers, as well as new product development initiatives. Ensures the end-to-end successful execution of these projects incorporates adopted principles within the divisions' Continuous Process Improvement efforts.
Develops and implements Continuous Process Improvement efforts and builds strategies across the division. Ensures the adoption of these strategies is understood and executed and that the many disciplines and tools are being utilized in a controlled manner.
Directs the development and implementation of new processes. Serves as a sponsor or leader of special projects that impacts organization wide initiatives. May work with external vendors in support of department initiatives.
Builds and maintains strong working relationships with both internal and external customers to maximize policyholder satisfaction and persistency. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with policyholders, brokers and/or field offices. May attend or conduct onsite meetings as appropriate.
Experience establishing contractual relationships with third party vendors to extend the service offering. Experience holding third parties accountable to minimum standards.
Identifies, develops, promotes and maintains positive, strategic relationships with Workplace Solution Distribution leaders.
Coordinates efforts within multiple Workplace Solutions and Enterprise functions including Marketing, Actuarial, Finance, Information Services, Agile Release Train, Operations, Compliance and Legal to ensure commitments made are delivered and meet financial objectives.
Ensures that expenditures are within budget and appropriately authorized. Monitors, directs and takes corrective action to ensure unit cost, time service and profitability objectives are attained.
Ensures all daily activities support the Division efforts to meet or exceed corporate policies, procedures and/or directives. Stays abreast of industry changes and evolving market environment for purposes of influencing ongoing strategy and resource prioritization; includes attending industry and partnership events Ensures all new legislation, mandates and legal requirements are analyzed and information is disseminated to the appropriate functional areas for review and implementation. Identifies areas of noncompliance, developing procedures to modify and/or enhance existing processes and initiates corrective action.
Effectively represents Mutual of Omaha at industry conferences and with stakeholders, customers, outside vendors, industry professionals, brokers, etc.

10 years of business or technical experience in the benefit industry, Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
Seasoned experience leading strategic initiatives and mission critical teams.
Strong experience and extensive knowledge of Group Insurance products
Proven success in strategic development of relationships for purpose of executing on strategic growth
Ability to work independently and proven success as a self-starter
Ability to lead in a team environment by persuading and proactively influencing strategic decision making and direction
Seasoned knowledge of project and process management and business systems requirements
Proven success in managing others and overseeing several projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and empowering co-workers and employees to meet project objectives.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build relationships through maintaining networks of contacts who are useful in achieving business results
Seasoned organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to teach or foster development in others
Ability to make others comply in fair, equitable, non-punishing fashion
Ability to travel up to 25%
